I’m almost hesitant about putting you down on this dude.  For so many reasons, I’ve just straight turned into his number one fan club member, and not simply because I’m a shallow bitch and he’s a fine ass native american-black man.

It’s complicated being me, kids.

*blank stare*

First of all, how many men must I run through before I find one that can satisfy my needs?

That’s always the question, eh? I’m terribly disappointed in several of you…but I don’t kiss and tell when it comes to business. #noworries

And I’m artist and I’m sensitive about my shit, and I’m also tired of explaining what I want to people who A)  get it and then fall off because they’ve got more important projects to pursue because they’re hot or B) those that simply don’t get me and what I’m doing and only show up because they think it’s a way to get closer to sniff my panties.

And sad part is that panties are very much a part of this relationship. You work that out in your mind however you want.

So…….what am I doing so important that I’ve got to be all secretive and vague…involving panties, no less!!??

None of your dam business!

You don’t need to know what I’m doing. You only need to know that this dude—>@trillytrills is part of my team of superheros. And I need to tell  you that he’s an absolutely wonderful photographer and I’m so glad I’ve chosen him and he agreed to work with me. But I’m fearful that I’ll now have to share him, but I’ll take one for the cause if it means we can all add to the conversation of art.

I would even go so far as to say he’s perfect, but then again, I’m partial to men with insanely long dreads.

Trills, Brick City, Newark, Photographer, artist,

He’s perfect because he’s punctual and ready to work when he steps out the car. That means the world to a finicky ass Capricorn who is checking her watch as she waits for you.

As a matter of fact, he’s beat my time EVERY time we’ve gotten together to work.

He’s additionally grand because he’s receptive and open minded but I don’t need to lead him by the hand. I gave him a concept and he gets what I’m talking about. I can show you examples of what I need but in all honesty conveying a vision is one of the hardest things a person could be asked to do. If you don’t believe me, how did you react the last time someone told you something outlandish? Were you receptive or did you discourage the person. You might have genuinely been supportive but that blank stare on your face after my detailed description of what is yet to come killed my enthusiasm for sharing with basic people.

Trills ain’t basic.

He doesn’t talk much; nor does he text much.

So when I want to hear his voice I listen to Beyond the 4th Wall and you can too if you download his latest mix tape.

I can’t be mad at that man because though he may seem uncomplicated his reserved demeanor in reality is a low engine hum. The real noise is going on in his artist’s mind, where he takes in everything around him and turns it into an image on canvas, a verse in a song, a concept for a documentary.

I did mention that he’s also a painter, no?

He’s amazing because I see his end result and gasp at what’s he’s done to me. We’ve barely just begun and like a new romance, I’m eager to get to the part where I scream “Dam, I love you!”, on a regular basis.

I must admit, it’s dam hard to stay focused when someone who I love staring at is staring back at me and neither of us can do the ‘shuffle foot look away’.

Nah, honestly, out off all the photos I’ve sat for over the years I’ll say that Trills is one of the best I’ve ever worked with when it comes to bringing me out of my shell. If you only knew how important it is to have a photographer that can snap pictures with such ease that you don’t even realize he’s working you for the camera.

Ah…he makes it hard to pay attention, but then again these coy looks and tongue flicks will surly come in handy for something, right?
